In Broadcast Journalism, I have produced news and features packages as well as anchored news and sports for our award-winning weekly newscast "Bruin News Now." For all of my stories, I wrote the script, filmed interviews, shot B-roll, and edited the packages all on my own.
When I anchored news or sports, I also wrote my own script. I have been trusted with many important stories, such as one I did in August 2025 about the new campus for St. Richard Catholic School and in January 2024 for our annual Grandparents Mass.
I also wrote and reported stories from Nashville, Tenn., in November 2025 when a group of St. Joe student journalists attended the Journalism education association/National Scholastic Press Association high school journalism convention. I did the same from Philadelphia, Penn., in November 2024 when student journalists attended that year's fall JEA/NSPA convention.
In this newscast which aired o n the Bruin News Now YouTube channel on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, I joined a group of nine other St. Joe journalism students at the Mississippi Capitol to cover the Legislature. I did a story about the history of the Capitol. It wrapped up the newscast, with a time stamp of 15:16- 17:37. I also shoot B-Roll for our other coverage from the Capitol.

This is a features package I did with fellow St. Joe students Elizabeth Vanderloo and Kaitlyn Evans. We focused on a candy shop called Sweet As Fudge in the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia. This story was for an on-site competition at the JEA national convention in November 2024. We had so much fun with it that we added it to our weekly BNN newscast when we returned home. In this contest, all tree of us received a story prompt and had lass than five hours to write, report, film and edit the story. Our prompt was the Reading Terminal Market which is a food market in downtown Philly.
